WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Supervise the Safety/Risk Officers, including HSE personnel of Business Partners and ensure implementation of legislation and all safety related requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to the relevant acts and regulations and conduct and drive continuous improvements on Health and Safety standards.
  • Ensure Safety/Risk Officers conduct weekly and monthly inspections and report and record all risk data.
  • Ensure all layers of Risk Assessments are implemented and reports are submitted timeously.
  • Compile and revise all documentation related to Critical Control Standards, and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Drive completion of HSE audit findings.
  • Manage site and town Security Services.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A safety professional with a proven track record on leading safety compliance in a Mining / Refinery environment.
  • A Diploma/Degree in Safety Management/Environmental Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Mining/Refinery environment of which at least 3 years should be as a Chief Safety Officer or similar supervisory position.
  • Driver’s License.
