WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible to plan, organise, manage, direct, coordinate and implement commercial related aspects of the Refinery Conversion Project at Skorpion Zinc (Rosh Pinah, Namibia)
  • S/he will play a key role in conceptualization, project design and selection of right partners.
  • Devise strategies for ordering various packages, contract development, partner performance management, and legal strategies throughout project lifecycle, until contract closure.
  • Provide leadership in business partner selection, contract finalization with clear focus on project outcome linkage and value delivery.
  • Responsible for driving project spend reduction, business partners and contract performance management, supply chain assurance and strong process governance while leveraging technology and innovation.
  • Identify and analyze key commercial risks and highlight in advance.
  • Ensure project completion within time & budget.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (any discipline), Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, or related field
  • Min 8-10 years of relevant experience (preferably in large scale projects in the Mining industry).
  • Relevant experience working in a Smelter / Refinery would be highly advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial processes and aspects including contract development and contract management.
  • SAP Proficiency
  • Experience in Cost control & Claim management. Experience in completing projects within budget.
  • Experience in Planning project resources and Coordination of internal resources and business partners for the flawless execution of projects
