The Draughtsperson: Survey & Geology ensures that high standards are provided and adhered to in a safe, cost effective, timeous and satisfactory manner and provides resources and support through effective risk, compliance and people management processes.


Requirements for the role is a COM Draughting Certificate and 12 months experience as a Draughtsperson in an Underground Mine, sound knowledge of Bentley’s Microstation and Microsoft`s Office Suite. The incumbent must have strong people skills, technical expertise, and an outcome orientation coupled with sharp focus on compliance, improvement, technology and safety will be key success factors The successful candidate must have a valid Code B Drivers license and be able to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness.


As the Draughtsperson: Survey & Geology the individual will be responsible for updating of mine (Survey and Geology) plans as defined in Regulation 17 of the Mine Health and Safety Act, aligning inputs within the Technical Services Department to ensure accurate and concise plans contributing towards the execution of the planned mining activities.
The Ideal candidate will assist in draughting services to the project teams on the mine, in the town and surrounding areas, maintaining stock levels of consumables in the Survey Department and the optimal performance of ancillary equipment used for the production and preservation of mine plans. The individual will optimise human resources and foster a high work ethic amongst the survey team members, whilst driving a safe and healthy work environment.
