WHAT YOU WILL DO
- The development and implementation of drill design patterns for optimization of the ore body.
- Developing and implementing drilling procedures for the underground operations.
- Developing and implementing blasting procedures.
- Monitoring and controlling compliance to blasting procedures.
- Monitoring and evaluating rock fragmentation and ensure efficiency.
- Investigating opportunities to improve drill and blast techniques, review and recommend any feasible new technologies and review and update all relevant policies and procedures.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Chamber of Mines Blasting Certificate.
- 5 Years’s experience within mining operations and successful progression through the ranks of mining as a Drilling and Mining Supervisor .
- Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent will be and added advantage.
- Code B Driver’s License.
- Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness.
- The incumbent should have a strong technical understanding of blasting principles, mine designs and mining execution.
