WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Day-to-day execution of engineering targets, organizing of material and equipment,labour planning and resourcing, leading line management, and crucial enforcing compliance to standards. Assisting the General Engineering Supervisor in the execution of operational requirements in a broadened engineering section.
  • SHEQ participation, maintaining discipline, and housekeeping. Uphold safety standards and uphold our company’s core values
  • Monitor and improve the quality of work and maintain high standards of performance.
  • Assist with fault finding on equipment when necessary. Ordering of spares and materials.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures. Execution of equipment maintenance per Asset Management Policy.
  • Contractor Management –managing CBP in your area of responsibility
  • Standby duties, and must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work within a team as well as contribute to the team’s performance.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Qualified artisan with 5-10 years of experience in heavy underground mining equipment.
  • Relevant Trade Test Certificate with N3 Engineering Studies.
  • Sound knowledge of underground trucks and scoops, utility vehicles and transport fleet.
  • Basic first line Supervisory course will be advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license(EC1)
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Must obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness
