WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ensure an accurate planning design in accordance with the Mine, Health and Safety Act, and the mine’s regulations.
- Working within the budget that directs the production activities to achieve short term targets.
- Responsible for mine designing, sequencing, scheduling, dump design and hole route determination and optimization.
- Adjust the designed plans according to geological deviations and ensure that accurate red ensigns are within the set budget limits to comply with long-term plan.
- She/he must ensure that the practical pit from the pit shell is designed for scheduling purposes to adhere to long, medium – and short-term production purposes.
- She/he must ensure that the planning design is interpreted by the production clients and the result reflects the plan in terms of tonnes,quality, rehabilitation and safety to comply with regulations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering.
- She/he should have a minimum of 2 years of open pit planning experience.
- Knowledge of planning software package will be advantageous.
