WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage the Mining Department in a strategic manner.
- Provide an operational management service.
- Ensure and maintain legal compliance and external liaison.
- Manage and control budget/costs.
- Ensure and oversee efficient and effective people management.
- Lead a safe department, ensuring commitment to upholding high, effective risk (SHEQ) management standards.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- BSc. Honours/B degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- MBA, MDP or equivalent will be desirable.
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency.
- 15 years of professional experience in Production/Technical and Mine Planning, of which at least 10 years should have been in Mining.
