WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct Risk Assessments on production activities and compile reports.
  • Assist operational teams in the critical risk management processes.
  • Conduct critical control audits, and legal audits.
  • Provide advice to line managers on risk exposures in Production and Safety meetings.
  • Promote and manage the company/Group Safety policies and standards by ensuring compliance by colleagues and Business Partners.
  • Do all preparations for incident/accident investigations by using a centralised framework and assist management during investigations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • National Diploma in Safety Management, COMSOC 1 & 2.
  • Blasting/Rock Breaking Ticket will be advantageous.
  • 5 years of working experience as a Safety, Health, and Environmental Officer in a large industrial environment of which 3 years should have been in Opencast Mining.
  • Safety Risk Management experience in a Mineral Resource environment.
  • Exposure to ISO management systems or any other recognised SHE system.
