WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure safe operation of day-to-day running of the section.
  • Coordinate between the Mine Overseer and the respective teams.
  • Organising of materials, equipment and labour.
  • Coordinate with Business Partners in the section.
  • Ensure Safe, Quality and Daily Production is achieved.
  • Ensure that Mine Health & Safety Acts is enforced.
  • Ensure legal compliance shaft operations.
  • Be able to assume standby duties and work overtime when required.
  • Must be able to work 4 x 4 shifts and must be able to work underground.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Grade 12 certificate and a permanent blasting certificate (Metalliferous Mines)
  • Relevant experience in a mechanized base metals mine and posses knowledge of the Mine Health & Safety Act and safety/risk management systems.
  • Must posses a valid code B/C Drivers license.
  • Studying towards/have Mine Overseer or Mine Manager Certificate of Competency will be advantageous.
