Ensuring that no employee's salary/wages and employment is affected due to COVID-19.
Set up a District Joint Operations Committee (DJOC) in partnership with the District and Local Government, Department of Health and other State Department, National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), as well as a variety of other Stakeholders.
Weekly updates in terms of Black Mountain Mine Pty LTD COVID-19 active cases, recoveries, and COVID-19 related deaths.
Access control to mining sites by means of COVID-19 pre-screen cards (green cards).
Through our Corporate Social Responsibility programmes: vulnerable communities in social distress during the South African Lockdown periods were assisted with care, food and hygiene packs, ventilators for the district hospital, masks for communities, and hand sanitizers.
Since the commencement of the Nationwide lockdown as instituted by the Government of South Arica, amidst the Covid19 pandemic, BMM has extended assistance to the wider Namakwa District Area by providing Food Parcels, Adult Sanitary products, essential PPE, and Sanitizers to the most vulnerable community members in the areas.
